October 21 listing update:   this item is now eligible for eBay's International Shipping program.  Factory seconds Alden modified last captoe derbies sized 8.5D US, in color 8 shell cordovan.  Model # FD 5666.  5666 is an European-exclusive makeup made for Cappelletto Shop in Treviso, 40 km north of Venezia.   Before this model sold out, it retailed for 1,195 euro (1,400 US dollars as of September 2025).  This was purchased from TSM in August 2025, and worn once indoors, resulting in the crease line on the vamp of the right shoe.  Selling because shortly after I received this, a pair of FD 54321 modified last v-chips became available, rendering these captoes now surplus to requirements for my rotation of color 8 shoes on the modified last.  Ships with a white Alden factory seconds box, enclosed in an outer cardboard box.   Factory defects on this pair: (1)  On toe cap of the right shoe, there are 2 surface level scratches above pinkie toe area.  Photo 13, blue oval area. (2)  On right shoe's arch, short and minor exterior chip just above the welt line.  Photo 14, blue mark-up This is one of the most exceptionally high quality factory seconds (FD) pairs I've encountered.  Perfectly symmetrical welt edges across both shoes.  Impeccably lasted without any wrinkles on the upper or dimples on where the uppers meet the welt.  Sizing advice: The modified last features a wide roomy toe box, high instep, and the most pronounced arch support of all Alden lasts.  Narrow heel cup.   This is a very comfortable last for those who find the aberdeen too tight around the toebox, the barrie too flat at the arch, and both lasts too spacious at the heels.   I'm 9.5E on brannock, and wear: -  Alden barrie:  9 D calf (roomy), 8.5 D cordovan (slightly tight at ball) -  Alden hampton:  9 D calf -  Alden trubalance:  8.5 D US in calf, cordovan, and chromexcel.  No experience with suede or chamois. -  Alden aberdeen:  8.5 E US for cordovan loafers, or 9 E for calf and lace ups and suede loafers.  Aberdeen is not a good last for me, due to its narrow toebox, low instep, and cavernous heel cup -  Alden van:  8.5 E US in cordovan, 9 D in unlined suede.  Comfy toe box width, but uncomfortable at instep -  Allen Edmonds 65:   10 D US in all leathers.  Good toebox width, but bad instep fit, resulting in wide V gaps on oxford lace-ups.  -  Allen Edmonds 201:  10 D.  Comfier than 65 last due to instep room.  -  Carmina soller:  8.5 UK cordovan -  Carmina inca -  8.5 UK suede -  Carmina xim:  8.5 UK calf -  Carmina rain:  9 UK calf -  Carlos Santos 234:  8.5 UK -  Crockett & Jones 314:  8 E UK, unlined cordovan loafers -  Crockett & Jones 341:  8.5 UK calf -  Gaziano & Girling mh71:  9 E UK.  Superb fit. -  New Balance 990 v4:  10 D US. -  Nike Pegasus 41:  11 D US.  Slightly too long, but achieves proper arch length.  10.5 was too tight at ball -  Saint Crispin's classic:  9 G UK personalized last with instep additions and heel reduction.  Sightly roomy. Please feel open to reach out with questions.  Alfista88 on styleforum.  No returns.  Thank you for your interest and consideration.
