Purchased new by me from Shoe Mart in Norwalk, Ct, one of the largest Alden dealers in the US. They were part of the Alden "seconds" program - Shoe Mart is the only US dealer allowed to do this for Alden. There are no flaws anywhere and Shoe Mart states that flaws often cannot be found. What this meant to me was that boots that normally are over $1,000 cost me about $600 + instead. I only disclose this because I am accurate in my descriptions. The buyer wouldn't know otherwise. The boots are lifetime shoes that are the peak of traditional shoe construction that only Alden can do at this level. They are beautiful to look at and wear. Combo soles are like dress hiking shoes. Description of the Plaza and all Alden lasts can be found on the internet.
