For sale is a pair of Rare Alden For Brooks Brothers Moc Toe Indy Dress Shoes Black Calf Men's 10.5 D. Foe your consideration is a rare collaboration between Alden and Brooks Brothers - an Alden Indy style Moc Toe in a Dress Shoe configuration, on the Leydon last. This make was made exclusively during the collaboration and only for a short time. These shoes feature a richly patinaed black calfskin leather upper, Indy Moc Toe Apron style Derby dress shoe (Model 1114), leather lining, cushioned leather sockliner, leather insole, leather midsole, black leather outsole (marked Brooks Brothers New York), stacked leather and rubber dovetail heel, and Goodyear Welt Construction. These shoes have seen a good amount of wear, but have been worn and maintained exceptionally well, especially the insoles, which are free of cracking/splits/fissures. There are some signs of wear though, including general wear to the upper and sole (including a very slight separation of the sole area near toe areas), general creasing across vamp, and some scuffing (including a scrape on the left and right toe - see pictures). The soles are still quite firm, and I think the shoes can go a while longer before a resole is needed; luckily, Alden offers a fantastic service for this, similar to Allen Edmonds: (http://www.aldenshoe.com/DrawOnePage.aspx?PageID=12). The aforementioned flaws are only evident upon close inspection, and do not impact the wearing or integrity of these shoes. I have deep cleaned and conditioned these shoes with Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner, as well as the lining/insole with leather wipes, and polished the shoes. They come from a pet and smoke-free home.
