Alden 5724S Brown Aniline Horse Bit Loafer

ALDEN 5724S Bit Loafers in dark red / cordovan leather.  A fantastic mix of the traditional and legendary shell cordovan LHS loafers and an updated Gucci bit loafer style.  Silver bits - not yellow gold! Fantastic Alden original sole - lug style and yet comfortable all-day.  Nicely cared for - many, many miles left in these. Look how clean the inside linings are - exactly the way you want to find them.    Made in the USA - we think the finest American shoes one can wear.  We are told that a few years ago Alden and Gucci made a "handshake agreement" that Alden would cease production of its bit loafer homage to Gucci. Instead, they designed these - a horse bit loafer , but on Alden's most famous frame, not on the more penny loafer style that Gucci uses. Works like a charm!  Can we shipped in an Alden box if desired, and we probably have a spare pair of shoe bags around here somewhere...don't tell my husband!   We are antiques dealers in the Virginia Piedmont - Charlottesville and environs. We are proud of our eBay rating, and regret two recent disappointing experiences with buyers that resulted in negative ratings we believe were not deserved.  The first was truly our mistake - we shipped the wrong item, only the second time in over 20 years. We did everything in our power to resolve this, including inviting the buyer to keep the item for free. We are sorry.  The second was another story - a buyer claimed we delayed shipment of his package and accused us of all sorts of unsavory things, in spite of the fact we had immaculate communication and documentation with him. Turns out it was a USPS data system error in tracking. Yet, he remains non responsive and did not retract his harsh criticism.    Without these two, we are 100% for many, many years! 

Men's pre-owned, burgundy calf uppers, rubber sole, nickel hardware, horse bit loafers Alden in size 11 D. Made in USA. In good used condition with sole wear and several scuff marks.
