I bought these boots over a decade ago and have only worn them around a dozen times, they were my first pair of Aldens and I got the sizing wrong. I only kept them because they were so gorgeous and I felt I would regret selling them even after eventually buying another pair a half size down that I have worn a ton. I have included a picture you can compare these Jcrew boots vs some other brown chromexcel Aldens I own, they are more brown than the regular 405 and more red than the standard brown 403 chromexcel they are fantastic looking in my opinion. These boots have always been stored in their boot bags with shoe trees in a smoke free house, I conditioned them at least once a year even if I wasn't planning on wearing them with Venetian Shoe Cream Neutral. As you can see from the heel/sole pictures there is a ton of life left in these boots and it is time to move them on to some who will actually wear them!
