Alden 987 Black Shell Cordovan LHS / Penny Loafer

Hello - Thank you for stopping by! I’m selling my black Alden 987 Shell Cordovan loafers. If you’re a cordovan enthusiast, you’re probably asking why in the world would I sell these. And the answer is that these were my first pair of cordovan shoes I ever purchased. I’ve worn them maybe 15-20 times, and while they are absolutely gorgeous, I just prefer lighter-weight, more flexible calfskin to cordovan. So I’m selling them. That said, these shoes exhibit the classic and smooth elegance of Alden’s black shell. They have that fine patina that only requires some strokes with a shoe brush or a shimmy with a fine cloth every so often. But they’re tough as nails and will last a lifetime. They have the classic Alden Goodyear welt so can be re-soled. Completely versatile, they can be worn formally or casually. My girlfriend even commented one time how much she liked them and how shiny they are. As an 11 A/C, they are technically a “narrow” sizing. But I wear Regular width in all my other shoes. I think these are only slightly narrower than a normal regular size. This is fantastic pair and lightly worn. They retail new for about $950, so I think I’m asking a fair price I will include the box and the cloth shoe bags but NOT the shoe trees. Thank you!
