Well-kept pair with honest, tasteful wear and strong natural patina development. The uppers have aged beautifully, showing tonal variation from mid-brown to darker chocolate across the quarters and heel counters. There is expected vamp creasing and some light surface scuffing consistent with normal rotation, but no deep gouges, cracking, or structural issues. The handsewn apron stitching remains tight and intact. Heel counters are firm with no collapse. Lining shows standard footbed impressioning but no tearing. Overall structure remains solid. Original leather soles show moderate forefoot wear. Heels have typical edge wear but retain plenty of material — not close to needing replacement. Welt and stitching are clean and secure. These present as properly worn but well cared for: broken-in, not abused. Lots of life left and will continue to develop character with wear. Shoe trees not included unless otherwise noted.

"Alden Cigar Shell Cordovan US 10D UK 9 Norwegian Aberdeen Split Toe " I got these about 10 years ago from my wife for a birthday gift. I wear these very little, maybe 20 times. About twice a year. They have the original souls and heels. I had a vibram soul protector put on them so as not to wear down the souls. No splits or cracks to the leather and the eyelets for the laces are not stretched. I am meticulous and take care of my shoes and use Saphir cream poducts and polish on my shoes. The color looks even as I store them in a closet cabinet away from strong light.
