Vintage ALDEN 996 Burnished Tan Calfskin Saddle Shoes US 13 A/C UK 12 Oxfords ALDEN 996 Burnished Tan Calfskin Saddle Shoes Used pair of burnished tan calfskin oxford saddle shoes. Terrific patina on these. No cracking, no holes, clean interiors. Heels and outsoles definitely have some wear on them and are probably a year or three away from needing to be re-crafted (I highly recommend going through Alden when that time comes) but that’s depending on how much wear you put on your dogs. In any event, while Alden will definitely fine tune them for you when the time comes, let it be known these have long-since been discontinued so the words, “hard to find” jump immediately to mind. Made in the USA and built on Alden’s, Barrie last and of course, they’re Goodyear welted. SIZE here is marked 13-A/C US which is a 12 in the UK Exterior measurements are 13 1/4” x 4 3/8” CONDITION: Very good condition, as described above and demonstrated by way of pictures presented of actual item for sale.
