Description Alden Shoes Shell Cordovan 763 Penny Loafers ＃8 Van Last Men Size US 8 E From JP Size 8E These are loafers originally commissioned by Brooks Brothers from Alden—a model that is no longer in production. They feature an unlined construction (a masterpiece often likened to a "leather sock" due to the use of a single layer of leather without a lining). Purchased quite some time ago; the heels have been replaced once. I haven't worn them much recently, and the stitching at the collar (opening) has come loose. I recommend having them repaired, or they would be a good project for someone capable of doing the work themselves. There is damage to the piping on the right shoe. There is one spot where the stitching has come loose on the inside of the collar. There are some small cracks in the leather. With repair, they still have plenty of life left in them—would anyone with the right size be interested? Additionally, there is a color discrepancy between the left and right shoes, which is characteristic of cordovan leather. The listing is for the shoes only.
