Brooks Brothers tassel loafers made by Alden, black calf, 10.5D US. Great condition, just some natural wear with some light creases and scuffs as shown in pictures. Aberdeen last. Shipped in a USPS priority shoebox mailer. Shoe trees, shoe box, and covers not included.

Brooks Brothers by Alden tassel loafers in a black leather and size 9A. They were purchased prior to 2000 at the Brooks Brothers flagship store at 44th and Madison and are ”vintage” from a time when Alden produced an even better shoe than it does today. Please note that the shoes have finely recrafted soles (with full Goodyear welting) and are in very good condition with much life left. The heels (see photos) show little wear. They do have a few minor scuffs and creases (see photos) but are in generally good condition. They have a long life ahead of them. Note that the recrafted soles have a ”made in Italy” stamp. This means the soles were replaced with Italian leather during recrafting. But the shoes are very much Made in America Alden's. Their interiors have Alden markings and are labeled a model 770. That has long been the Alden Tassel Loafer built on the Aberdeen last. The model has a black Calfskin leather upper with a single leather (recrafted) outsole. Typical of Brooks the interiors are unlined for lightness. The owner doesn't recall which firm did the recrafting but he typically sends them to one of several quality firms in New York that do the work correctly. These are from a smoke free house but we do have two dogs. That said, the shoes are kept in a closet away from the dogs. I relate this for people who may suffer allergies.
