Additionally, no one does handsewn design like Alden, again, at any price. These custom makes from Leffot combine the best of both worlds. These boots are in a beautiful shade of Horween Color 8. They exhibit the lighter shade of 8 that you simply don't see these days (more like a C6 or dark shade of C4). Built on the very comfortable Barrie last, they sit on top of Aldens very comfortable split commando sole and are adorned with a nice shade of antique edging. What distinguishes the Leffot NST's from others (and the reason for Unicorn status) is that to my knowledge, they are the only make of NST on Barrie with the sleeker flat welt. This was the exclusive design of the Leffot tanker, which they inexplicably discontinued a few years ago. The flat welt makes these flow easily between denim and smart business casual, virtually ensuring that they will become your go-to pair of footwear. After an 18 month wait, I was fortunate enough to get these early on in my shoe/boot journey but I didn't understand my Alden sizing and the fit wasn't right. I was ecstatic to get a second bite of the apple but retirement has simply left me with too many boots. That is the only reason these are being made available as they are in very good condition and will continue to get better with age and use. Always stored with trees but many pics provided without the trees as those always reveal the true condition of the shoes. As you study the pic's I dare you to find a scratch or scuff....anywhere. These boots were one of my favorites and have been absolutely babied.   These will be shipped in their original green Alden-branded box and will include Alden cloth bags, and unused Alden flat laces.
