The footbeds are in very good condition with slight impressioning only. The original commando soles are in good condition with light surface wear to the stitching, heels very good with light edge wear only. Please note, some of the speedhooks can be twisted by hand, this is normal for Alden boots and not a defect. These were worn around the house and then one time around the block, otherwise literally brand new, mint condition. The only reason I can't return is that there is a small wear on the back of heel that shows they were worn outside so they would count as worn for the store. My mistake is your benefit! These are beauties and a new make-up from Alden San Francisco, with a nice Berry Gold Thread moc-toe stitch, brass eyelets and speed pulls, and a 360 degree Reverse Welt / Antique Edge with Commander soles. This reverse chamois leather is about as durable and cool looking as it gets. These are the Alden 9D width (or in Alden speak 9 B/D, see photos). As in all Trubalance lasts/Indy boots you generally size down a half size from your usual Brannock..so these fit like a standard 9.5D. Super comfortable, stylish and amazingly crafted. These will ship with their boot bags & their plastic bags, but not in original Alden box as that doesn't fit in any flat rate box. These retail for $637
