RARE $865 ALDEN 2490 #8 Shell Cordovan U Wing Blucher Commando Soles SHOES 8.5 D RARE $865 ALDEN 2490 #8 Shell Cordovan U Wing Blucher Commando Soles SHOES 8.5 D Click images to enlarge Description Alden Shoes Size: 8.5 D (per inside description) Style: 5 Eyelet Moc Toe U Wing Blucher Color: Burgundy #8 - these have a nice dark patina Material: Genuine shell cordovan leather uppers and leather with rubber soles Here are a nice pair of vintage Alden dress shoes.  These are made on the 379X last which I am not familar with.  My research indicates that the fit is similar to Barrie and may be a little roomy.  These shoes are in overall excellent vintage condition - great collectors item.  The uppers have normal shell cordovan type creasing.  The original soles were crepe and have been replaced with a commando style rubber sole and are in excellent condition. The replaced heels have just a small bit of edge wear - you can wear as is or add a pair of taps.  The interiors are in very good condition. They measure approx. 12 inches in total length, 4 3/8 inches across the widest part of the soles and have an internal length of 10 3/4 inches. The pictures do not do this item justice - these are a nice pair of shoes (shoe trees not included).  SH131 Payment Information: I accept Paypal.
