Alden D4907H Brown Alpine Grain Indy Boot

Alden Indy Boot in dark brown Horween Chromexcel Leather. These are 12 year old Alden boots manufactured by Alden in 2014 and purchased new in 2015 from Moulded Shoe New York. Size 8.5US on the Alden Modified Last in D width, which runs 0.5 to 1 size long, and is a combination last that is B/D width, so has a narrow B width heel and a generously wide forefoot for a D fit foot with lots of toe room. These should fit a US 9D or 9.5D foot wonderfully. These are a moc-toe, derby, light work-shoe style ankle boot. They have a 270* natural colored storm welt then a thin midsole and then a thick and durable neoprene/cork outsole, the heel has a rubber top lift. Great footwear as a light-duty work boot, causal wear, or just fashion. The uppers are the classic indy moc-toe derby style with 9 eyelet pairs comprising 5 eyelets then 4 sets of speed hooks. The uppers as a whole are in great shape and cleaned and brushed regularly, as well as conditioned a a couple of times in their lifetime so far with Saphir chromexcel conditioner. There are some dings near one of the heel counters as pictured, one small stain along the outside of the right shoe, also pictured, and a couple of very small light scuffs in general, but it's all just regular wear and tear. The leather has a great luster and is in fantastic shape with just a little age and patina on it. The soles are somewhat worn, especially the heel top lifts as you can see in the photos, and the outsole is starting to slip from the midsole at one point along the outside edge of the left shoe as shown in pictures. These are a great price as they are probably about due for new soles due to the above issues. They do come with the original flannel shoe bags, though there is a small tear along the seam of one from years of stuffing the boots inside. They also will come with Alden branded cedar shoe trees.
