The left shoe is a 10D, the right shoe is a 10.5D Condition Grade: 8 Model: 06604 Last: M75 Left Shoe Measurements: 12 9/16” by 4 3/8” Right Shoe measurements: 12 13/16” by 4 9/16” Notes: Please note, these shoes are mismatched, the left she is a 10D and the right shoe is a 10.5D. Made by Alden for Brooks Brothers, these shoes have been tried on and show light creasing at the vamps and slight marks to the soles. Please note that the burgundy paint used on the brass eyelets of the right shoe has been mostly removed (some small areas of paint remain), whereas the paint on the eyelets of the left shoe remains on the 9 out of the 10 eyelets. I have tried to remove the paint on the eyelets of the left shoe to create a more even appearance, but it took much longer than I thought it would, so I stopped without finishing the job. There is some verdigris built up around the front of the eyelets, and a good deal of verdigris built . Shoes show light surface marks at the back heels from storage. The vamps shoe creasing from try on. These shoes are display laced with a pair of flat cotton Alden boot laces that are too long for the shoes and will need to be replaced. Please note, these shoes have 2 defects. The first defect is noticeable color variation due to sun fading, as a result the left shoe is much lighter in color at the toe and vamp than the surrounding areas. The fading has revealed a dark splotchy area at the outside side of the left toe. The second defect is that the brass eyelets have patinaed and show a lot of built up verdigris (green oxidation) around each eyelet. I have tried to clean off this oxidation, but it is very difficult to remove. The brass eyelets are painted with a burgundy paint, and the paint easily flaked off 2 of the eyelets when I tried to clean off the verdigris. Aside from these defects, these shoes are in good pre-owned condition with light creasing at the vamps. The original soles show very light surface wear only. Comes with a replacement Alden for Brooks Brothers box (correct model number on box, but incorrect size), and original shoe bags.
