You are bidding on (1) pair of Alden x Brooks Brothers Unlined LHS Loafers, which are made out of Unlined Horween Whisky Shell Cordovan. These are extremely rare as Alden has only ever made two runs of these when they were making loafers for Brooks Brothers. Alden will also no longer make unlined LHS loafers, so these will never be made again. Condition: Excellent used condition without the original box and but will come with shoe bags. Alden Brooks Brothers Unlined Penny Loafer In Whiskey Cordovan, size 12C. Condition is excellent Pre-owned, always kept in shoe trees and shoe bags. Is this perhaps the rarest Alden shoe? Mike at the Alden of San Diego website (if you love Alden you’ve probably seen it) could have been describing this pair and my luck when purchasing them at the BB Flagship store in NYC years ago : “This is a truly unique and limited shoe. This shoe is made (for) Brooks Brothers and is an Unlined version of the Traditional Leisure Hand-sewn Penny Loafer. These are very uncommon to find and frankly, I just got lucky on these. These loafers are a few years old and their color has matured significantly over the past few years!” These are made on the Van last. Please be sure of your sizing in the Van last as returns are not offered. Alden recommends sizing down 1/2 your usual size on a Brannock device. (So these should be good if you wear a 12 1/2.) Please refer to photos for condition. Whiskey and other light colored Cordovan are very limited in production because the the light shade show flaws and stretch marks in the leather that can’t be seen in darker colors. The hides must have few imperfections—and few go on to the bench. Enjoy this beautiful pair of shoes.
