Alden Handsewn Penny Loafers with unlined vamp Size 12E. The Alden Shoe Co. was founded in Middleborough, Mass. in 1884. They have been making highest quality handmade shoes ever since. Alden may be considered America’s last heritage, family owned shoe manufacturer. The handsewn penny loafer from the Flex Welt line is an iconic part of the Alden line. This model 17831F in brown aniline pull-up is in excellent pre owned condition. They have been recently conditioned and polished. The photos paint the full picture. The original soles are in good condition as are the combination heels. Pictures are the best indicator of condition. Shoe trees not included.

First quality. Superficial markings to leather uppers. A few superficial marks to leather. Outsole in very good condition. Some heel and toe drag. Creasing across the vamp. Impressions to the leather uppers. For your consideration a used pair of Alden half strap penny loafers. Leisure hand sewn uppers sewn by hand. Made on a single leather flex outsole, flat welt, antique edge trim, and matching welt stitching. Vamp is unlined. Made from brown Horween chromexcel leather. Shaped over the Van last tagged a size US 8.5, D width, but fits more like a US 9D (hence why I'm selling). I added shoe taps to the front for protection. Lightly shined it afterwards.
