These shoes are factory seconds, but its not apparent what exactly makes them seconds. There are no apparent structural defects. The footbeds are in excellent condition with nearly no impressioning. The original leather soles are in excellent condition with slight surface wear only. Rare ALDEN #8 SHELL CORDOVAN 2160C Straight Tip Blucher Commando Soles. US 6.5 D. Rare to come across these in the US market. (I won’t found this pair at an estate sale.) I purposely did not shine or treat so you would have a sense of their decent used condition. Some flaws as shown in the photos — but if you’re reading this then you probably under how to care for shell cordovan. They definitely need some care, brushing, conditioning etc... (I like the Mac method.) They underwent the Alden restoration process at some point. Aberdeen last - please know your sizing in Alden lasts as I can’t accept returns.
