The model number is usually a three to seven digit number such as 986, or 9901, or D6401, or D5527HC, etc... The size is always written as the length of the shoe, and under that, the width of the shoe, such as: 9 10 1/2 orC/E B/D In these examples, 9 and 10 1/2 are the length, and C/E and B/D are the width. In U.S. shoe sizing, the widths are: A & B = Narrow, C & D = Medium, E, EE & EEE = Wide. Inside each Alden shoe, the width of the shoe is written as: A/C or B/D or C/E, etc. The width is written as a 'fraction', and the bottom of that 'fraction', (the denominator) is the width of the shoe. This is a great Alden made for Epaulet. It is a NST shaped over the Barrie last. Lovely alpine grain leather with brass eyelets, commando sole and 360 degree storm welt. This is from my personal collection and has only be worn a couple of times. Always stored with shoe trees and comes from a smoke and pet free home. Please know your size as I can not accept returns. This auction includes shoes and Alden shoe bags. Box and trees are NOT included.
