Title: Alden Unlined Dover in Horween Color 8 Shell Cordovan - Size 8.5B - Small Defect (see pic 4) Condition: Very Good Description : As Alden has seemingly moved away from unlined footwear, the Unlined Dover remains a coveted makeup. I am selling these because they are simply too tight for my feet. I was really eager to grab a pair so I picked them up on SF and immediately sent them to Alden for their excellent recrafting service. While I have worn them two-three times since then, the unfortunate fact is that they are simply too narrow for my feet. If you are a Barrie 8.5C, I think these work, but it is up to the buyer to know their Barrie size as I do not accept returns . Additionally, there is a little crack on the instep of the left shoe (see pic's 6-7). It has been this way since I brought the shoes and has not gotten any worse. However, this is the reason why these shoes are listed at an incredibly opening bid/BIN price and the buyer purchase fully aware of the defect and that the shoes are sold as-is . So with the legal disclaimers out of the way, lets talk about the shoes. These shoes simply glow. There is no better way to describe them. Undoubtably some of Alden/Horween's best work. And the color is just a tad lighter than normal, which also adds to the appeal. And of course, being unlined with Waterloc leather soles makes them oh so comfortable. Always stored with trees though always pay special attention to the pic's of shells without the trees as they tell the true story. With these, you will instantly notice just how minimal the creasing is. Very aggressive pricing on these beauties, primarily for the reasons stated above. Again, please understand your Alden sizing as returns are not accepted on these special shoes. These do not come with the original green box, but they will be packed professionally and include Alden-branded shoe bags. Always stored with trees but as is always the case with shells, pay attention to the pic's without the trees as they tell the true story. I will include a pair of cedar trees if buy-it-now is used. Excellent Condition - more than 5 but less than 10 wears. Light creasing and sole wear. Very Good Condition - more than 10 wears. Moderate creasing and sole wear.
