Alden 39628H Color 8 Shell Cordovan Perforated Cap Toe Boot

Rare, vintage, cap-toe, lace up Alden men's boots - shell is rare Cordovan leather - model #39628H.  Color is oxblood red but have patina to a nice cherry color.  Size 10 B/D.  Very comfortable and broken in well.  Beautiful boots.  Laces not included. There are a few stitches missing but these are double-stitched so does not affect wearability.  A cobbler could re-stitch for nominal fee.  They have been re-soled. Original price $1000.  These are from my personal collection and have lots of life left in them!

Gorgeous pair of Alden Shell Cordovan Color 8 Perforated Cap Toe Boots (Model 39628H) - Size 10.5 D in the Barrie last. I bought them as seconds from The Shoe Mart several years ago. I tried them on, stepped out on to a patio to make sure they fit, then took them off and never put them on again - changed jobs that didn't require office time. The only reason they are seconds is that Alden got some dye on the inside of the tongue of the right boot (see picture). Everything else looks first rate. The Shoe Mart is selling Alden Seconds like this pair for $644.95 and you don't know exactly what they'll send. Alden Firsts sell for almost $1,000. Save yourself a lot of money and know that you’re getting a great pair of boots. Make sure you understand that the Barrie last typically runs 1/2 size large as there are no returns accepted.

The boots are in very good condition overall with plenty of life left. They will make a great addition to your wardrobe.
