The Alden 40292C is a rare, discontinued Norwegian Split-Toe (NST) Tanker Boot originally made in collaboration with the retailer Unionmade, featuring Brown Alpine Grain leather. Barrie Last Custom Single leather outsole + combination heels Style: NST Tanker Boot / Norwegian boot Leather: Brown Alpine Grain (a textured, durable pebble grain leather) Collaborator: Unionmade (a notable now-defunct menswear boutique) Design: Features the iconic hand-sewn split-toe front, lace-up boot construction, and rugged aesthetic suited for casual or denim wear All Alden Shoes and Boots are crafted using a Goodyear Welt construction, and feature a tempered steel shank under the arch of the foot. The steel shank provides superior support and comfort throughout the day. Handcrafted in New England of the finest domestic and imported materials. Pre-owned in VERY GOOD condition; FULLY RESOLED, custom single leather soles and combination heels, professionally polished, brand new laces; one small crack to right outstep (professionally repaired, as pictured). Alden from Unionmade, brown Alpine grain boot, hand sewn NST, size 11.5 D and built on the Barrie last.  A bit of an Alden unicorn here, the San Fransico store Unionmade had some great Alden make-ups, and this is one of them.  You might not ever find another one for sale in your size, and who knows, Alden may never make another like it. I believe it was styled the "McCoppin".  Very nice condition, very modest wear.  Alpine grain is a durable and quite nice looking leather.  Soles are Commando, brass eyelets and pull tabs.  Alden hand-sewn boots in non-shell leather are getting very scarce these days.  No box, but boots come with bags and both round and flat laces.  A very nice pair.
