Alden 40556C Earth Reverse Chamois Indy Boot

You are bidding on a pair of new Alden ”Reverse Earth” Chamois Indy boots, size 8B/D, with a fully stitched Alden Commando lug sole. This boot was part of a custom run for Browns of London, England. ”Reverse Earth” refers to the leather color, which is a very dark chocolate brown, close to black. Included in the photos is a shot showing these boots next to an Alden boot in black calf for color comparison. The boot leather is an oiled suede chamois which both looks great and wears exceptionally well. All stitching matches the dark brown/reverse earth color. These boot features Alden's Commando lug sole - Very durable and long wearing. The laces are flat and the boots have eyelets throughout - There are no hooks per a typical Alden Indy boot. The shoe last is Alden Trubalance and the boots feature a full leather lining. Original Alden box, Alden cedar shoe trees and Alden shoe bags are included. It kills me to sell these, but I have to face the fact that they do not fit me. I bought them new online thinking they were a 7UK, but they are 7US (UK = US+1). These are a size 7US in Alden's Trubalance last, which runs a half size large. They will fit a size 7.5 US Brannock. These are a rare makeup made expressly for Brown's in London. It is very difficult to capture the nature of the leather in a photo, but it is remarkable. Chamois itself is an oil-tanned mountain ram skin, so it is naturally more water resistant and resilient than normal leather. It is a reverse chamois, so there is an awesome nap, which can be raised and re-raised over and over. Any scuffs will buff right out with a suede brush. I am not a good photographer, but if you google ”reverse earth chamois” you'll get a good idea of how this leather looks. The outdoor pic is taken from an instagram user, and I just put it there to show the best representation of how the leather looks in real life. I wore these twice, hoping I would be able to make them work. However, the instep is too short for my 8.5 US foot. I did not wear them long, so they are not broken in at all, meaning the full leather insole will mould to your foot, just as if they were new. They have a commando sole, so they're perfect for city winters. If these only fit me, they'd be my go to boots this fall/winter. Includes box and classic Alden shoe bags.
