These boots have a wider welt than Alden's standard boots as designed by the "Y" in the model number, given these a more rugged look. The vamps show creasing and there are a numbe of scuffs and marks to both shafts. The footbeds are in excellent condition with essentially no impressioning. The original leather soles have aprofessionally installed rubber sole cover over the soles. The original heels are in good condition with only very slight edge wear to the rubber part of the toplift.
