You are seeing reflections on the toes not rub marks.These have very little wear and I'm positive they would look as new with a proper finishing. Alden box ( not the box that came with the boots) and bags. Barrie Last - these fit a bit more narrow now with the new soles, more like an true to fit D width. I wore them a handful of times after I purchased them and they've been sitting in my closet ever since. I think they are made on the Barrie Last. The leather on these is amazing. They are not yet broken in, except for the soles that get scuffed up the 1st time worn, they are in like new condition! Alden shoes run large. If you are a size 10 they will fit as long you are not a wide.
