ALDEN SHELL CORDOVAN WINGTIP BOOT 4465H BLACK SIZE 13- Gorgeous Alden boots made by master craftsman from the finest shell cordovan. Retail price $975.00 Purchased at Alden, Madison Avenue, New York City. The boots are solid and beautifully made.   Exterior shell cordovan is in excellent shape with normal expected wear, some creasing with expected wear.  Interior lining and midsole are in good condition, intact. Original laces. Original sole and heel. Please see photos for condition.

Up for sale here is a pair of black Alden shell cordovan wingtip boots in size 11 1/2 B/D (these are built on the Barrie last, and the b/d designation means they are a D width at the forefoot, with a slightly smaller width at the heel section, but basically they are a D width). they are in excellent condition, as I keep all of my quality footwear, and brushed after everywhere, stored with appropriately sized shoe inserts and in bags (eggs and inserts not included in this sale). The model number is 4465H. There is a small tear on the left boot where the vamp and upper meet; I saw this as I was cleaning them in 2020 and reached out to Alden, and they replied that it would be a few months wait, so I took them to my local cobbler, who put in a single stitch, shown in the photos, which has worked just fine since then. They have been resoled, and the Vibram material (I can’t tell if it is leather or rubber) is in pretty good shape, but the rubber heel insert will need to be replaced fairly soon. These are lined with cream colored calfskin skin all the way to the toe. these are still sold in exactly this configuration –see Shoemart screenshots. There are surface marks at the toes and back heel area of both boots. The footbeds are in good condition and are not heavily imprinted. The original leather soles are firm to the press with 75-80% of their original life remaining. The heels are in good condition with some edge wear showing. There are some circular dot marks at the outside side of the right shaft as shown.
