These are a Color 8 Shell Cordovan wingtip boot by Alden with ”commando soles”. They're an 11.5D on Barrie last and fit regular US 12 feet. They are brand new. Note: these have recently been resoled with Vibram Gloxy Cut outsoles, an upgrade from the standard commando soles. Very few scratches and marks but please review the pictures and judge for yourself. Alden 44668C Wingtip Boots in Color 8 Shell Cordovan, size 7D. Beautiful pre-owned pair of Alden shell cordovan wingtip boots in excellent condition, gently worn but very well cared for for 1 year. Originally a special makeup sold by Unionmade, under the name ”Halleck Wingtip Boots” (Model 44668C). Alden Shell Cordovan is beloved for a good reason. These are gorgeous boots which, with care and occasional resoling, should last decades. This slight variation on Alden's standard catalog wingtip boot design has the following features: Color 8 Horween Shell Cordovan leather Full leather lining Commando solesBlack sole edge 360 degree flat Goodyear welt 9 eyelets (no speed hooks, so a more formal look than Alden's default version of this boot) Barrie lastTwo felt Alden shoe bags included Selling only to make room for other priorities -- these are outstanding boots, from a gorgeous material, by an iconic manufacturer, with no defects beyond standard wear. There is some minor scuffing and marking (see photos), which in shell cordovan pretty much always work themselves out eventually, but a diligent wearer could easily buff them out as well (see various online tutorials on shell cordovan care). Cared for well and always stored with shoe trees (not included). The commando soles are in excellent shape and have lots of life left in them (see photos of both). Alden's Barrie last is widely agreed to fit 1/2 size larger than the wearer's standard US shoe size, so just subtract 1/2 from your standard US shoes size to get your size in Barrie. In this case, these shoes (size 7D in Barrie) should fit someone who generally wears a size 7.5D US. Barrie is generally considered a versatile and comfortable last, smaller and sleeker than a work boot but not as narrow or tapered as a high-fashion dress shoe.
