Alden 45066 Ravello Shell Cordovan Plain Toe Boot

Made in collaboration with BEAMS Japan in the early 2000s, these plain toe boots are made in a beautiful shade of Ravello Shell Cordovan and have unique features such as a heel stitch and welt fudging. The welt stitches are clean and precise with a high density, not something you see often with today's offering. The boots are in good pre-owned condition. Sole protectors have been added and the heel top lift has been replaced before. The shell shows patina with lots of color variation depending on the light. Size 8.5E in the 379X last otherwise known as the Military last. Please know your size in the last before purchasing. Please see the photos for a more accurate description of the item. Some cosmetic flaws and signs of wear are shown in the pictures: scuffs on the toes, piping on the left boot has a slight gap between leather pieces, lining at the heel is beginning to show wear. For your consideration is a pair of extremely rare Alden Ravello Shell Cordovan boots, made in size 8E on the 379X “Military” last. These boots were made circa 2005 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of BEAMS, a legendary menswear retailer in Japan. It is my understanding that these are some of the earliest, if not the very first, boots that Alden made in Ravello Shell Cordovan. The Alden green box, boot bags, and shoe trees (size small) are included. I am only selling because sadly my feet have widened out a bit and I cannot fit these comfortably. The boots are new in box, with some minor scuffs and nicks from shop wear and handling over the past ~20 years, including some minor sole wear from handling or resting on a table. Additionally, there is some minor discoloration and chipping of paint on the eyelets. Please know your size on the 379X last as returns are not accepted. Shipping to the USA only.
