Shortly after buying them, the original owner found that they did not like the crepe sole and had the boots converted to a JR leather sole by Steve Doudaklian of Bedos Leatherworks, one of the best cobblers in the world. These boots show creasing at the vamps and faint surface scuffs at the shafts of both boots. The footbeds have nearly no impressioning from previous use. The JR soles are in excellent condition with only very slight surface marks. The vibram heels are in what appears to be new condition with no edge wear. Alden mens chocolate brown lace up boot with black gum sole in excellent condition. Shoe is sized 10.5 which in Alden is equivalent to a US/11 or 44D. Shoe has minimal wear, no scratches, indentations or scuffs. Sole has normal wear, due to some being rubber, EVERYTHING sticks too it!!!

Alden Dark Brown Pegasus Calf Plain Toe Boots, style 4513H, marked with "FD". These are ”Factory Defect/Factory Seconds” Alden boots, they have some flaw that makes them ”second” quality. The letters ”FD” are written inside both of the boots. Both the boots have damaged tongues. The tongues are both stitched together down the middle. The rest of the boot looks very good. I took a photo of both sides of the tongues. These seem very lightly used overall except for the repaired tongues. Please make sure you know what size you wear in this style, there aren't returns if they don't fit. I'm a brannock 11 and these fit me well - please know your Alden size before purchasing. Worn about a half-dozen times and well cared for in the interim. Paid about $615 just over a year ago.
