Suede needs light brushing at sides as suede is laying flat. Please note that these shoes previously has rubber sole protecters glued on over the original leather soles and heels. The adhesion was not good between the sole protecter and the leather sole, so the sole was removed, and what remained was the dry adhesive. I had the soles and heels gently sanded to remove the adhesive. As a result, the soles and heels have a very smooth sanded surface and remain in fair condition with about 50% of their original life remaining. These Snuff Aldens are in GREAT condition and have some of the softest suede known to man, (the suede on these shoes is of a higher quality than Gucci Loafers!) The soles and heels are in EXCELLENT shape. The insoles look GOOD. The shoes are NOT FULLY BROKEN IN yet. T here is STILL room for the next owner to make a strong imprint on the insoles; rest assured the buyer can comfortably wear into these shoes. The outers are in such great shape that I have left them untreated. These shoes have been taken care of! Regarding fit: These shoes are like a stumpy 201 last in 9E. I have a high instep so they do not accommodate my foot.
