For sale is a pair of Alden 551 Longwing Tassel Loafer Black Calfskin Leather Dress Shoes Men's 11 B/D Aberdeen Last Discontinued. From Alden Model Project: ”Aberdeen Last (true to size but long) Single Leather Outsole 270 Flat Welt Long Wing Tassel” *Note: This style appears to have been discontinued. These shoes feature a richly patinaed black calfskin leather upper, classic Longwing Tassel Loafer dress shoe design, leather lining, leather sockliner, leather insole, leather midsole, leather outsole, stacked leather and rubber Neolite heel, and Goodyear Welted Construction. For reference, here are the approximate measurements (taken along the outsole): Length - 12.375” Width (at the ball of foot) - 4.125” These shoes have seen a fair amount of wear, but have been maintained well. They have been resoled/reheeled, but it was done well with a rewelt. There is a deep scuff in the left side of the left shoe (see picture), but it is otherwise not an issue and a cosmetic shortcoming only. I cleaned and conditioned these shoes, inside and out, with Weimans Leather Wipes and Weimans Leather Conditioner, deep cleaned and conditioned with Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner, edge-dressed/polished the sole-sidewall/edge with Saphir Beaute du Cuir Shoe Cream, and polished them with Saphir Beaute du Cuir Shoe Cream.
