Alden #553 Tassel Loafers – Size 11 – Burgundy (Color 8) – Made in USA Used, in excellent condition. These shoes have been worn but remain in great overall shape. The uppers show normal creasing from wear but no major scuffs or damage. Soles and heels show moderate, even wear with plenty of life remaining. The leather has been well cared for and retains a deep, rich burgundy finish (Alden’s “Color 8”). This a classic pair of Alden tassel loafers that are no longer in production.  They were my dad’s shoes from many years ago.  Unfortunately, they’re about a half size too small for me, so I’d like to pass them onto someone who will enjoy them. Given their age, the overall condition is pretty good.  The soles have some wear, but with time to “rest” (i.e. don’t wear them every day), they should have a couple of years before a re-sole needs to be done.   I think these would be great in any setting - formal, business casual or even casual.  The burgundy will go great with almost any color. They’ve always had shoe trees in them so have kept their shape. I’m pretty firm on the pricing, because Alden has a fairly high resale value. Shoe trees are NOT included. Thank you!
