When I bought these they had a heavy wax layer. I figured that I would remove the old wax and it would be all good. Turns out that the previous owner had applied the extra wax to cover the fact that they had somehow stripped the finish off the toes. See the pictures for caked wax and stripped finish locations. The leather itself is in good condition and the soles are barely used. They are going to need to be stripped of the remaining wax, and likely the leather will need to be redyed. If you can use them and are willing to put in the work, you can have them for what I paid for them plus shipping. The shoes are quality, and they have a leather wrapped foam sole for extra comfort and decreased weight. Once fixed these shoes should last a lifetime.
