Alden 6245F Dark Brown Suede LHS / Penny Loafer

Alden leisure handsewn (LHS) loafers constructed on the Van last with oiled single leather "flex" sole, in size 9 D standard width.  Featuring unlined vamps and Alden's signature handsewn American pie crust decorative pattern adorning the top of the vamp.  Model # 6245F is a current-production factory stock model, with a retail price of $710.  The handwriting on the interior lining indicates this pair was manufactured in February 2025.  I purchased these as factory seconds, and tried them on a couple times indoors.  Selling because I received a pair of Crockett & Jones unlined Harvard 2.0s shortly after this pair.  Despite the Alden having higher quality suede (Janus grade from CF Stead), and in my subjective opinion a better looking last shape for casual loafers, I'm electing to keep the C&Js due to the comfort of its higher instep.  Rendering the Alden LHS surplus to my requirements for a single pair of unlined suede loafers.  Despite these being factory seconds, I cannot locate any manufacturing defects on this pair.  Cosmetic blemishes are limited to: (1)  Glue overrun above the leather sockliner, on the interior of the left shoe.  I've encountered this on factory first quality Aldens as well, so this alone wouldn't qualify this pair as seconds.  (2)  The suede nap's texture is different between the left vamp and the right vamp.  With the right vamp a tad fluffier.   (3)  On the side of green shoebox, the gold Alden logo has detached.   Ships with the green Alden shoebox originally mated to this pair, and cloth Alden branded shoebags.

Alden LHS Brown Suede Unlined US 6D 6245F You already know. Unlined, brown suede, Van last. This is a top 2 penny loafer. Has been worn a few times but unfortunately the last doesn’t suit my feet. See pics - I had put in a tongue pad in one of the shoes to try to get it to fit better but didn’t work. Can be removed. Will be shipped in an Alden box however I’m not sure if I have the model specific box. Message me if it’s a deal breaker and I can check in storage.
