Beautiful vintage Alden 636 derbies with brogued wingtip detail and natural patina. According to the Alden Model Project these shoes were made on the TruFlare last. It’s a beautifully contoured last with good arch support and features an elegant 270 Goodyear welt. The rich patina is totally natural from the sun and from wear. I treated them with Saphir Renomat, Renovateur and natural polish. The leather is still supple and in good condition except for some minor splitting in the back which I had repaired. I also replaced the worn-out rubber heel with a new Neolite heel. The leather sole feels good and should have plenty of wear left. The lining is leather in the back and canvas in the front. I can’t find a conclusive answer to when Alden switched to full leather but I’m certain these are several decades old. The heel sock has the name of the original store on it which is no longer in business. The size and model info is stamped on the inside in the typical Alden fashion. Model is 636 and the size is 11 1/2 C/E I’m really sorry to sell these but they’re too small for me (I’m a 12 1/2 brannock) and I have to value my foot health over style. The sole measures 12 3/4” in length and 4 3/8” at the widest point. The insole measures 12” long.

Fine shoes! Worn but far from worn out! Very good to excellent condition all the way around! A polish would make these shoes shine and pop! Trees not included! Each outsole measures about 12 5/8” by about 4 1/4” at the ball of the foot!
