This is a pair of Alden Leisure Handsewn fully-lined penny loafers. I believe this make-up is (was?) only available through Alden’s New York store. More substantial than the unlined version but still on the Van last, these are perfect for Autumn. • Model: 723 lined LHS • Color: dark brown • Era: 00s-2020s • Country: made in USA • Material: suede uppers; leather lining, sole and insole • Size: 9.5 B/D • Condition: This pair will need a resole soon (through Alden’s refurbishment service or a good cobbler) and could theoretically be resoled forever. Welts are in great shape; no damage at the top of the heel counter; linings and insoles are fine; a few pin sized marks on apron and vamp and general suede wear as expected for worn shoes. Featuring Alden's signature ”LHS” handsewn apron, these shoes are presented in good pre-owned condition and have only been worn several times. Please note, there are numerous circular dots to the suede at both vamps, I think these are areas where there is no pile or nap to the suede as there is no indication that the circular areas are stains. The footbeds are in excellent condition with only slight impressioning and no staining. The original soles are in excellent condition with light surface wear only, the original heels show very light edge wear to the rubber part of the toplift.
