Alden for Brooks Brothers leather lace up shoes, marked a men's size 9D. Featuring shell cordovan, ox blood in color. These look to be in new condition, however, there are a few dings from storage and there is polish gunked here and there, please see pics. In excellent gently used condition. Alden color 8 shell cordovan shoes made for Brooks Brothers. This pair is model 782, which is a cap toe oxford. Perfect for getting back to the office or for more formal occasions. These would be around $800 if bought new today. The shoes are goodyear welted on a leather outsole with a rubber combination heel and a flat welt with dark edge trim. Tagged a size 9C. Note that the shoes will require restoration in the near future. The soles are original and while there's no wear through they are soft and the heels are worn. I would recommend that the next owner send them to Alden for a full restoration but most cobblers should be able to do a good job of resoling them as well. If you wanted to use them as-is, I'd suggest installing sole protectors and heel taps, which would defer the resole.The shell cordovan seems to be in decent shape with no cuts or noteworthy scuffs. Some of the shell is a little less smooth than I'm used to seeing from Alden but may just need attention with a deer bone - not sure. The pictured shoe trees are not included.
