Alden custom MTO boots in black calfskin made exclusively for Alden of Carmel (in Seattle), size 8 B/D, new in box including Alden chamois shoe bags, Alden cedar shoe trees, original special order certification along with a pair of extra black laces (round). These boot were made for Alden of Carmel as a limited offering and are no longer available. They feature a classic round toe, without stitching, broguing or any decoration of any kind. I purchased these boots directly from Alden of Carmel but have not worn them. The Alden of Carmel style number is AF53A and these boots are made on the Alden Trubalance Last. Lacing: Five eyelets and 4 hooks. Design Features: Understated New England styling with minimal ornamentation. Antique welt and sole edge stain. All-season Commando outsoles, first introduced by Alden of Carmel in 1997. Eyelets: ”Lace on Leather” unreinforced eyelets design. This boot is made on the Trubalance last for maximum comfort. These boots features the following high quality Alden construction and materials: Full leather lining, leather insoles, cork mid-soles, leather and rubber ”commando” outsoles, true Goodyear welt construction, and steel shank for long lasting comfort and support. Alden Fan model AF53A was made exclusively for Alden of Carmel by the Alden Shoe Company. This boot is the same as Alden of Carmel's ”Color 8 Shell Cordovan Plain Toe Boot, Antique Sole Edge, Commando Sole” however the boots on offer are made entirely of solid black premium grade calf skin and not shell cordovan.
