Alden 86049H Boots created for Unionmade Goods in San Francisco, handcrafted in the United States with top-quality leather. These lace-up boots feature a rugged, plain toe design. The original outsole was upgraded with a Vibram Commando Sole by Aram the Cobbler out of Washington, DC.  Both the upper and lining material are made of premium leather. The boots are handmade and come in a B/D shoe width (which is a standard medium width), with a UK size of 11 and a US size of 12. I had recently stripped and cleaned the boots with Lexol PH leather conditioner and will send them without applying new polish so you can decide what treatments and polish color/brand you'd like to use. I use Saphir polish and the chromexcel leather shines very nicely with a beautiful patina! The Alden brand is well-known for its exceptional quality, and these boots are no exception. The rare, discontinued, cult-classic Alden x Unionmade Sloat Plain Toe Boot in Horween natural chromexcel leather. Finding any Aldens in natural CXL is difficult these days, and Unionmade closed its doors years ago, so this is a custom Alden makeup we likely won't see again. I'm the original owner and have lovingly cared for these boots over the years--they're my absolute favorite pair I've owned, but because my arches have collapsed, I now need a larger size. I've kept them in cedar shoe trees (not included) in my closet (smoke-free home). On Alden's incredibly comfortable Trubalance last in 8D. The Alden neocork sole is original and very durable, so you'll have many opportunities over the years to have these re-soled. I recently had the heels professionally replaced with the Alden stock Thomas heel. I've conditioned these with neutral Venetian Shoe Cream once or twice a year, whenever the leather was feeling dry. Comes with the original box.
