Alden 89922 Cigar Suede and Snuff Suede Saddle Shoe

For sale is a rare pair of Alden x Leffot Saddle Shoes in Cigar Shell Cordovan and Snuff Suede, size 8D on the Barrie last. This is one of the more interesting Alden makeups out there. It was a special Leffot release, originally from 2012, built on the Barrie last with unglazed cigar shell cordovan, snuff suede saddle panels, and single leather soles. The Barrie last runs large, so most buyers should expect these to fit about a half size bigger than marked. Condition is excellent, as shown in the photos. The uppers present very well, with attractive shell depth and color, light creasing from normal wear, and no major issues that jump out. The soles show honest but moderate use, with plenty of life left. Overall, these are a very strong example of a hard-to-find Alden/Leffot makeup. What makes this pair special is the combination of materials. The unglazed cigar shell has a ton of depth and character, and the snuff suede keeps the shoe from feeling too formal or too precious. It’s one of those pairs that works with denim, chinos, and more tailored casual looks without trying too hard. These are not easy to come by, especially in this configuration. They have been worn sparingly over the time that I have owned them (I own 20+ pairs of Aldens). These are extremely rare as they use unglazed cigar shell cordovan and snuff suede for the uppers. They measure 8D on the Barrie last; for those unfamiliar, the Barrie last does fit large, so these fit someone who is an 8.5D US best. I have some Alden shoe bags that I will include with the purchase as well. The shoe trees are not included. Overall condition is 8.5/10. There are some water spots and small scuffs, but those should come out easily with a little elbow grease.
