A pair of black calfskin oxfords from Alden, about as versatile and classy as a dress shoe can get.  These are Alden's model 901, handmade in the United States and featuring a sleek profile with an understated brogued captoe design anchored by goodyear welted leather soles.  The footbed stamps indicate that these shoes were originally sold by Sherman Brothers, a long running Philadelphia store. In excellent preowned condition, with no staining or damage to the exterior and only minor evidence of prior wear like light creasing and some wear to the soles - see photos.  Stamped a men's size 9.5 A/C, indicating a narrow width.
