Title: Brown Shell Cordovan Alden Oxford Brogued Cap-toe Dress Shoes 9 B/D MSRP $850 Here are the numbers written inside of the shoe: 0D0/X0/3 7 -- 9015 There are a couple of scratches, but shell cordovan is durable. There is also a minor flaw with a part of the binding at the top of shoe, where the heel enters the shoe. A cobbler should be able to fix this. There's a lot of life left in the soles. They come with sole protectors. They are obviously very well made. The tongue of the shoe is partly gusseted/sewn, so that it doesn't slide around-- beautiful all around! New, they sell for around $850. You can't buy new shell cordovan for this price, let alone from Alden! And shell cordovan lasts forever-- I've got a pair from the 60s that I still wear, that're as good as new.
