Alden George Boot - Black Shell Cordovan - Size 7 - Custom Boot built on Barrie Combination B/D Last - Pre-Owned - Unique and Special Build -Purchased from Alden of Carmel back when Andrew Carr was between stores and selling online only. Fwiw I think he runs a great shop for anyone who is looking for new Aldens; his store sells only the Alden name and his service ethic is impeccable. -This boot was a custom offering built by Alden for the above referenced shop. I have seen a handful of George boots on both the Plaza and Aberdeen lasts, but not since this boot have I seen another George done on the Barrie with the full thick soles of the classic Cordovan Chukka. If you like the stock Alden Shell Cordovan Chukka, and you know that a Barrie 7 fits you, these will be quite familiar. I believe the shaft of the George boot is about a 1/2” higher than a standard two-eyelet chukka. -The Barrie Last Alden size 7 sits between a US size 7.5 and 8, depending upon your particular width requirements. -See ”Condition description” above for additional details about this pair. -Boots were always kept on Alden trees when not in service - these will be included along with two Alden bags. I no longer have the box. -I cherished these but have not worn them in several years, so I hope to find someone who will appreciate and enjoy them as much as I have. U.S.A. Condition: Very Good. Upper is in great, maintained with conditioner and stored in shoe trees. Insole is in like new condition, no previous imprint. Soles and heels are in excellent condition, fixed with heel and toe taps.
