Good news for you………..New Year cleaning and purging underway, so nice stuff available for your bid. Up for auction are several exclusive garments and shoes that languish in the closet and deserve to be worn and enjoyed. I’m picky about my stuff, so if you are like me you may find something of enduring quality and value that works for you. This Alden George Boot is different from most; it’s a special make-up on the shapely Plaza last in a soft snuff colored suede calf. The boot has a large steel buckle, wide strap and full welt double leather soles with antique edge. These shoes are in excellent worn condition and are well tended, always stored with Alden lasted shoe trees (included in this auction) and brushed after each wear. The boots were purchased in 2013 and have been re-soled once by the Alden factory. The size is 8.5 B/D and for reference the bottom of sole dimensions are 11-3/4” x 4-1/4”. Please make sure you are familiar with the Alden sizing, the Plaza last and the stated Alden size will fit you before bidding. On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being new and 1 threadbare, these shoes are a 4. To the best of my knowledge these were only made once and only for the Alden shop in NY. They are a chukka boot with the buckle in a snuff suede. They are fully lined and have the oiled watercock sole.. they look amazing with jeans to suits. They were $560 when I bought them.
