However it has been re-introduced and redesigned on the Hampton last in 2011 by Mr. Arthur Tarlow the president of Alden company. The Hampton last is a elegant last while it's still versatile. It has a fairly high vamp but narrow body. Alden shoes are crafted with attention to detail in their Massachusetts factory. They are still using some old machines from decades ago even over 100 years old, , only for keeping the beautiful traditional classic details as seen in the good old days. It's important to note that due to the handmade process, some minor imperfections may occur because they're not bench made by high tech modern machines with that high precision. These imperfections are a part of the unique character of the shoes and should not be seen as flaws.
