Unfortunately, I also discovered that Alden had discontinued making this superb shoe for some reason. So I contacted a number of Alden dealers around the country to see if anyone had a pair in my size, US 11 Medium. I finally found one dealer in Pennsylvania who had a pair in 11.5, and that was the closest I could find. So I bought this shoe. Although it was a little too big, I thought I would try to make it work by wearing thicker socks or putting a liner inside the shoe. Those gimmicks didn't quite work – the shoe is really too big for my feet, and very reluctantly, I have decided to sell it. I wore it exactly three times over an 8-year period, twice for weddings and once for an industry conference. The shoe is in nearly new condition, showing only minor signs of having been worn. They have always been kept with shoe trees inserted, and they come from a smoke and pet-free home. These are superb shoes with a sole that is incredibly flexible. Exceptionally classy and comfortable looking. I finally decided to part ways with them. They come with their original box, paper and cloth bag.
