This model is built on the Barrie last, which fits approximately a half-size larger than typical dress shoes. The size is 9 C/E (C width forefoot, E width heel). The shell cordovan uppers are smooth with the classic cordovan “roll,” free of cracks or structural damage. Edges, broguing, and stitching are all intact. The shoes have been stored with cedar shoe trees (not included). These still have their original Alden leather soles and dovetail heels, showing moderate, even wear appropriate for normal use. The soles are solid with no soft spots or holes. The interior leather lining is clean and fully intact. This is Alden’s most iconic longwing model, retailing for around $950–$1,000 new, and built to last a lifetime with proper care. Fully recraftable through Alden’s restoration service.
