Alden 976 Brown Calfskin Long Wing Blucher

Alden factory seconds longwing bluchers in brown boxcalf, with antique welt edges and double waterlock leather sole.  Model # FD 976.  Constructed on the Barrie last, sized 9 D (standard width).  The handwriting on the interior lining indicates this pair was manufactured in January 2025.  This pair was purchased from TSM in early October.  Worn for around 35,000 steps total, on concrete sidewalk.   Selling because I learned through this pair that I much prefer the pronounced arch support on the Modified last over the Barrie last, for longer walks on concrete.   Manufacturing defects on this factory seconds pair: (1)  On the vamp of right shoe, there is a dark line of discoloration in a curved line, running alongside the right wing.  See picture 2.  (2)  On the rear of the right shoe, the storm welt line is uneven.  See picture 7.   Fit:  I am size 9.5 E brannock, and these are ever slightly tight across the ball of the foot.  Spacious room in the heel cup.   I recommend potential buyers who do not have experience with the Barrie last to try a pair on at an Alden retailer.  This is a current-production stock model which all Alden retailers can order from the factory.  

Used Alden Longwing Bluchers. Lightly worn and customized with a hand-burnished finish for a unique, classic look. Selling at a deep discount since they no longer fit my style. Shoe trees not included.

Alden Longwing Blucher shoes, size 11.5 D in dark brown calf leather. Model number 976. These were worn literally only one time. I then realized the size doesn't quite work, but by then the soles had marks on them, so I couldn't return them. So, I'm selling. Priced low to sell fast! These are in great shape and includes the original box and suede shoe bags.

  This is a beautiful shoe from alden.  The shoes are a rich brown .  The shoes are in excellent condition ,worn once or twice.
