(1) Pair Alden Cigar Shell Cordovan Longwing Bluchers model 97896 in Men's size 10D (B/D).  Made on the Barrie Last.  These fit about 1/2 size large, I'm a 10.5 D in most other sneakers and shoe styles and these fit perfectly as a 10D. Rare Cigar Shell Cordovan with some of the most unique patina palette I've ever seen, from Dark Brown Cigar to medium elements looking more like Ravello - they can look almost two-toned at times with the right lighting....I've tried to capture the true essence with 3 scenarios:  shaded, direct room light and then window direct sunlight to highlight the nature of these.  In my opinion, this is Alden's finest shoe and this pair seems to have a captivating nature.  They are gorgeous. Sent back to Alden for the restoration process and fitted with new soles and new heels. No heavy imprinting and these can last a lifetime if you brush and care for the cordovan. Brushed often and sparing paste wax use only..... No rips, fractures, tears or scratches.... Normal creasing indicative of shell cordovan. Shoes come with original box, shoe bags and Alden shoe trees. Recent resoles and heels done by Alden Restoration.  No heavy imprinting on the insoles. No rips, tears or scratches. Gentle, rolled creases indicative of shell cordovan. First series of image are inside with room lights images #1-14 Image # 15 is sunlight through a window and indoors. I’ve learned to love the beautiful way cigar reveals its character in different lighting conditions.  Cigar can look dark brown in low light. But, with natural light, the cigar warms up and starts to make an appearance. With direct sunlight, the “watercolor” essence and patina starts to express itself. I often found myself highly entertained during certain business meetings and the occasional church sermon, staring at my cigar shell cordovan shoes.  I had a similar experience standing in front of Monet’s murals at Musee de l'Orangerie recently....both masterpieces.  No lie. Some segments of color reveal a dark brown chocolate at times, other times there is an essence of dark caramel Ravello. I never knew that a pair of shoes could captivate so much. Size is Alden 10D on the Barrie Last, which run .5 size large so they're the equivalent of 10.5 US. Be sure to know your size. See my other listings, I'm selling 5 pairs of Aldens in the same size.

Die Sohlen wurden vor einem guten Jahr vom Maßschuhmacher ersetzt (Sascha Halm, Leipzig) inklusive eingelassener Nähte. Seitdem wurde der Schuh kaum getragen. Weitere Fotos auf Anfrage.
