Very sharp pair of Alden 986 LHS Leisure Hand Sewn cordovan loafers here, fresh from the estate of a gentleman international financier who kept very good care of his clothes and shoes. They are marked size 13 B/C (ie C width). The soles measure 13 1/8" long x 4 3/8" at the widest point. They are in good/very good previously owned condition, with no splits, bad scratches or worn spots. The soles and heels are newer replacements and have plenty of life remaining in them - and I note some cobbler's restitching on the outside/back of one heel. Otherwise no issues to note - they are nicely broken in and have the Familiar rich patina that comes to cordovan shoes with age. Note that I have not cleaned or polished the shoes, preferring to leave that to the next owner -- they will surely brighten up considerably with treatment.
